Orientation visits

JACIE is pleased to announce a new educational initiative. Centres can now request a visit to their centre by experienced and knowledgeable JACIE staff to receive instruction in the Standards, the accreditation process and to discuss their specific circumstances and receive orientation and guidance.

This visit is optional and is not a required part of the process.

Scope of the visit

JACIE Staff can help the centre to analyse their situation with regard to the Standards, suggest solutions based on experience elsewhere and highlight potential problems.

The visit includes:
  • Presentation of the JACIE process and standards
  • Discussion of the transplant programme and specific aspects
  • One-to-one discussion with JACIE staff on location
  • Help to identify potential issues, non-conformities and possible solutions
The visit does not include:
  • An exhaustive examination of your practices, systems and procedures based on the standards (“simulated inspection”)
  • Expert consultancy/training on general quality management nor medical/ laboratory practice
  • Guarantee of future accreditation

Duration

The visit takes place during a single day. The centre can involve as many members of their team as they wish in the visit.

Costs

The fee for the visit is €1,250 plus travel and accommodation costs for one person. Travel and accommodation can be reserved and paid for directly by the centre if it wishes.
