JACIE is pleased to announce a new educational initiative. In order to assist centres that are taking their first steps towards accreditation, JACIE staff will be available to visit the transplant centre and provide information and instruction directly to the transplant team. As part of the pilot phase of this programme, in the first quarter of 2012, two (2) centres will be able to request a visit to their centre by experienced and knowledgeable JACIE staff to receive instruction in the Standards, the accreditation process and to discuss their specific circumstances and receive orientation and guidance. Scope of the visit JACIE Staff can help the centre to analyse their situation with regard to the Standards, suggest solutions based on experience and highlight potential problems that need to be addressed. The visit includes:
The centre can involve as many members of their team as they wish in the visit. Costs Costs will be covered by JACIE. Selection of centres for pilot visit Please note that only two (2) centres will be selected in this pilot phase and will be chosen on a case-by-case basis. Priority will be given to centres in the early phase of preparations for accreditation although centres that have already applied to JACIE or who are well advanced in their preparations can also be considered. Deadlines for applications is February 15 2012. The two visits should be completed before mid-March 2012.
